The spring-fed lake right outside the back door was once a trout hatchery, and, if you’re lucky, you’ll see the remaining trout come curiously to the water's surface to gaze at the world above. Heck, cast a line in and test your luck. Within a minute walk from this cabin are two large fishing holes and a bike trail that follows Black River all the way to the spillway below the dam.
